ABOUT THE CAMPAIGN

Thanks for checking out the site! Now you're probably thinking what exactly is Hope In Pittsburgh. It is a fundraising campaign for the refugees in the city of Pittsburgh. The purpose of this campaign is to raise cultural awareness because of how prevelant the word "refugee" is in today's society. I will be doing this fundraising campaign for the local non profit organization called Jewish Family and Children Services in Pittsburgh. This organization is involved with caring and helping refugees obtain a new life in an unknown country. I will be raising money for their resettlement programs. These programs involve helping refugees providing basic needs and other acculturations in to community and workforce.

It's simple! This is the Hope In Pittsburgh website/blog and it will be used for sharing stories, photo's, videos, and much more. Since the purpose of this fundraising campaign it to raise cultural awareness I will know it was successful by the amount of feedback given towards the blogs and if I can convince people to donate for this cause.
